So I woke up this morning and thought ‘you know what? I needa remake that one video.’ So this is what I got so far. Though uh, I completely forgot how to use the program.

YEAH can I just steal this opportunity to talk about how Ford, in fact, is Bill’s type (and vice versa)? Think about it. He’s:

• a freak
• attracted to weirdness, which is totally Bill’s line of business above anything else (Weirdmageddon, anyone?)
• prideful and ambitious to a disastrous extent
• and yet!! he isn’t Bill’s mirror image or a henchman type. He’s meticulous in contrast to Bill’s chaotic. He’s the observer to Bill’s phenomenon, a scientist and his subject of study
• I could go on really

Now, in terms of characterization, they aren’t coded primarily as adversaries. Bill isn’t Ford’s Jungian shadow (this is where canon played its cards wrong in the endgame, I think), and the junction points of their personalities and interests weren’t there merely for plot reasons – that is to say, nothing necessitated Ford’s deep admiration for Bill when they first met, or Bill’s borderline affectionate antics towards Ford during Weirdmageddon, etc.

What I’m boldly arguing here is that they’re compatible. Romantically so? Not necessarily (although, if you ask my biased opinion, HELLS yeah, in some very specific ways), but I raise you the potential of genuine friendship, or a partnership of any and all sorts. They compliment each other as characters. It’s all good. :>
